The Joomla 2.5 administrator’s user name can be easy changed from the Joomla 2.5 admin area -> Users -> User Manager. Select the check box next to the administrator user name and click on the Edit button located at the top-right Joomla menu.
In the Edit Profile section you should modify the name in the Login Name field. Save the change.
Next time when you want to open the Joomla’s administrator area use the new admin user name.
